This is my beautiful 4 Feet or 6 Feet  - 6mm (0.236 inch) professional dog training slip lead with a snug push button stopper (spring loaded limiter) and hand-cut/stitched high-quality Buffalo leather binding, designed and handmade with passion and love by me (Peter) a professional dog trainer and behaviourist.
 
This lead is made from a quality, beautifully soft, lightweight but very strong polypropylene multifilament double-braided rope with a braided inner core. I have chosen this rope material because it does not stretch, is extremely lightweight and super soft, and gives me very good experience and precise handling. The material is lightweight, silky, shiny and has a smooth surface. Floatable, does not absorb water and dries very quickly. Non-toxic, and safe for humans and animals. Resistant to mildew and rot. It doesn't get dirty quickly and can be washed at max. 30 degrees.
 
This training lead is 6 mm wide, from my experience the best size (together with 8mm and 7mm) for the most precise handling and communicating, and is suitable for most breeds.   
This slip lead will not change size while training due to the snug push button stopper. (toggle, limiter).
 
I love to use this lead for small or medium-sized breeds or as a maintenance tool for trained larger breeds.  This lead allows me to use very gentle and subtle pressure but when needed and more pressure is applied the lead works with me and locks immediately and delivers an almost instantaneously very clear message without using too much power.
 
My intention and goal are always to create something that works - is safe, strong and durable but also fun and a pleasure to look at and hold while handling your pup. I want to believe I achieved that. 
As a professional trainer, I always prioritise Safety and quality above anything else.
The lead is on both ends carefully welded, then hand stitched, and finally glued and bonded with the premium 1.5mm thick distressed Buffalo leather which is again hand stitched.

Tips from the trainer:
This slip lead is designed to communicate with the dog with gentle pressure and release of the pressure. 
The dog must be introduced, conditioned, and trained to yield to gentle lead pressure. 
The dog is not meant and should not pull into this tool!
It is a simple and basic training tool but requires some handling skills. 
Place the lead as high as possible, right behind the ears, and adjust the size on the dog's neck with a stopper to make it snug but comfortable - make sure there is no pressure on the dog's neck so you can fit two fingers underneath.     
 
To correctly and safely use a slip lead, seek advice from a professional dog trainer. 
 
NEVER LEAVE A SLIP LEAD ON A DOG UNATTENDED!!!
